About the Art Club 2-6 y.o. Approach: We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia pedagogical approach, which focus is the process and not the result. We propose multiple possibilities on how the materials and tools can be used. Project ideas are given but the little makers are encouraged to experiment and discover by themselves. Support is provided as children explore their own individual approach. Activities: We will explore, create and get messy in 5 stations: -Tinkering & STEAM -Modelling -Cooperative Art -Painting Projects -Sensory & Small world These are open-ended and self-directed stations of projects with paint (stamping, painting, collage, monoprints...), modeling (playdough, clay,...), cooperative art (painting with the whole body and in large murals) exploration of light (discovering colors, light and shadows), Tinkering (3D design and construction), Sensory & small world (sensory play with varied materials to create little stories and games). We prepare the activities and the Atelier based on the age of the participants, so we are happy to have children of different ages simultaneously in our sessions. The program is quarterly, once a week, and in each session we will explore a different topic, discover new materials and techniques. It is possible to attend a single session (if there are places available) or to join us throughout all season.
